Sushi Training

We took Isaac with us to our new favorite sushi place, California Roll and Grill. When our food came, he kept reaching for it, so I put him in the highchair and gave him a couple of grains of sticky rice. He loved it! I could hardly eat myself for all of his begging. Our server came to the table, noticed that I was sharing, and asked if I wanted a dish of tofu for the baby. (I guess that is something that she fed her babies when they were learning to eat.) She brought out a little dish full of tofu in miso sauce. I was skeptical that he would like it, but it was a hit. He completely emptied the bowl of tofu chunks.

I bet he would like the Caterpillar roll too! (I guess I wait a year or two for that.)

Isaac is the opposite of Trevor in this regard. A few days ago Trevor was begging for some of my dinner. I gave him a small bit of rice. He immediately spit all but one grain out. Then managed to gag and choke on the one grain. I literally thought I was going to have to do the Heimlich, but instead he threw up all the food in his stomach. It was kind of scary and then ridiculously funny. One grain of rice!?!?!

Bec,
That is how Isaac acts when I try to feed him rice cereal.

Maybe Trevor is a mashed potatoes man.

Scotty also BEGS for food. I think it is adorable and can't stop feeding him (Tyler has to tell me "that is enough"). We did El Torito Grill last night and I think by the end he'd eaten an entire tortilla :-)
